Performance Tuning for Anomaly Detection in IoT with the help of PCA

Mounicasri Valavala, Ripon Datta, Md Haris Uddin Sharif ,[DOI: 10.24214/jecet.B.8.4. 25157.

Purpose: The primary focus of this research is to improvise the speed and memory usage of Artificial Neural Networks (ANN) that are used in analyzing data anomalies in the Internet of Things (IoT), using the dimensionality reduction technique Principal Component Analysis (PCA).  Problem:  In this paper, a study is done by considering different data anomalies in IoT that indicates a cyber-attack, which are further fed into dimensionality reduction technique such as PCA and processed using ANN.

Power system parameter matching based on a Class B pure electric vehicle

Xindong Wang,Fei Lin,Xiaolin Wang,Rongji Zhang,Shiyao Cui,[DOI: 10.24214/jecet.B.8.4. 32733.]

The growing automotive industry has brought tremendous pressure to the global environment and energy. In order to achieve the sustainable development of the automotive industry, the development of electric vehicle technology has been paid more and more attention. Electric vehicles have the characteristics of high efficiency and low pollution, which can effectively alleviate the global environmental and energy problems. In the development process of electric vehicle, reasonable matching and type selection of its key components can significantly improve its vehicle performance.

E-Service Trustworthiness and Adoption of Online Banking in the Presence of a Moderator: A Relational Study

Gayan Nayanajith, D. A. & Damunupola, K. A.,[DOI: 10.24214/jecet.B.8.4. 26589]

Innovation and technology transformation necessitated retail financial services which includes consumer banking to embrace electronic service delivery in a rapid pace. Online banking is one of the most popular banking facilities in consumer banking segment. Nevertheless, in practice, online banking adoption phenomenon varies depending on the particular context. Therefore, this research attempted to identify the association of adoption and e-service trustworthiness on adopting consumer online banking in the Sri Lankan context. Sample was drawn from the customers of three leading private commercial banks. The accounts opening officers of the banks were selected as enumerators for data collection. Data collected through self-administered questionnaires from the respondents. Initially 450 questionnaires were distributed and 271 duly completed questionnaires were considered for the final data analysis. Principal factors of e-service trustworthiness were identified by conducting PCA. In this relational study, TAM has been extended using the e-services trustworthiness and dimensions of the variables were measured by five-point Lickert scale. Reliability scrutiny was conducted to measure internal consistencies using Cronbach’s alpha. In order to test the hypotheses, correlation analysis followed by multiple regression analysis using hierarchical method along with diagnosis tests for outliers, residuals, influential cases performed whilst supplementary statistical tests such as trend analysis and contrast test of ANOVA, ANCOVA and Hayes’s process for moderation analysis were also used for further analysis. The empirical evidence supported two hypotheses indicating the positive relationships of e-service trustworthiness and adoption towards online banking adoption. Furthermore, it was revealed that there are differences between demographic variables. Third hypothesis stating the existence of differences in adoption of online banking between low income category customers and higher income categories was also supported similarly. ANCOVA revealed that the covariate; age was not significantly related to the participant’s online banking adoption while the moderation analysis has confirmed relationship between e-service trustworthiness and online banking adoption is being moderated by the age of the respondent. In conclusion, researcher has presented several suggestions for online banking service providers and developers towards developing marketing strategies to boost the adoption of online banking.

MKM-Health Data software development kit for mobile applications

Kirakossian G. T., Mayilyan A. K., Momjian A. J.,[DOI: 10.24214/jecet.B.8.4. 29000]

Nowadays, there are a lot of people who avoid seeing doctors, as it takes too much time to stay in lines in today’s busy life. People from country sides are still unable to get good medical aid due to the low number and the bad qualification of doctors there To make up a software development kit which enables the Xamarin developers to get the health related data and use it in implementing cross-platform mobile applications The MKM-Health Data Software Development Kit (SDK) for mobile applications has been developed, based on the Samsung health SDK. The MKM-Health Data SDK enables the Xamarin developers to get the health related data and use it in implementing cross-platform mobile applications, which works on all major mobile operating systems (including Tizen). He proposed MKM-Health Data SDK can be used to develop applications, which can help facilitate people’s life, and use the prophylactic medicine to prevent the development of diseases which are harder to cure. Other applications can help the doctors to give recommendations based on the data received. Even more, applications can give recommendations and assign exercises by itself using Artificial Intelligence. These people can live their natural life but always be under the monitoring of the systems developed using our SDK.

Evaluation Performance of ELK Reasoner for Semantic Ontology Based Heterogeneous Data Framework in E-Learning Environment

Dr.Waddah Ahmed Munassar and Eng. Nasreen Nageeb Abdo Ali ;[DOI: 10.24214/jecet.B.8.4. 30115.]

Distributed systems on learning environment are becoming greater complicated in terms of heterogeneity data problem, Heterogeneity on learning environment occurs when every individual learning application or system represent the same data and information but in very different data formats. This leads to increased data integration problem on learning environment. Semantic ontologies are a key concept that helps to solve heterogeneity data problem on learning environment. The aim of this research is to evaluate the performance of ELK reasoner based on OWL 2EL that using the consequences algorithm on heterogeneity data of e-learning environment. The results of experiments prove the ability of ELK-reasoner to solve the problem of semantics heterogeneity when integrating several independent databases into E-Learning environment where data was retrieved effectively and integrated.

Role of Enterprise Resource Planning Systems in enhancing performance in Conflict Business Environment

Sulaiman Alshehri and Prof.Majed Al-Saud,[DOI: 10.24214/jecet.B.8.4. 31620.]

conflict may arise among the workers due to lack of information and poor decision making. In the recent past, enterprise resource planning systems (ERP) have turned to be a popular tool for the mid-sized to large firms globally. ERPs encompass organizational integration of systems that are used in managing and coordinating all the resources, provide information, and align the functions of an organisation from a single shared data store. ERP contributes to competitive advantage and enhanced performance through diverse dimensions. a non-financial perspective, the analysis encompasses review of the organisational effectiveness and efficiency based on parameters such as manufacturing lead time, labour efficiency, and customer satisfaction. ERP is a contributor to the better performance in a conflict business environment by reducing the operational costs. ERP contributes to competitive advantage and enhanced performance through diverse dimensions. EPR helps the management to make corrective actions with the continuous provision of analytical information thereby making the firm have an advantage in a highly competitive business environment. ERP contribute to enhanced performance through better decision making. Organizational processes are encompassed of three levels strategic planning, management controls (MCs) and operational control. ERP helps in reduction of human reliance and enhance Organisational performance as well as aiding in faster and justified  decision making.
